
Lebanese Tabbouleh
Discover our authentic Lebanese tabbouleh, a fresh and fragrant salad made with bulgur, parsley, mint and tomatoes. Ideal as a starter or side to grilled dishes, this Lebanese vegetarian and halal recipe is light, healthy and full of Mediterranean flavors. Prepare it in 30 minutes for a balanced meal.
Ingredients
- fine bulgur100 g
- flat-leaf parsley1 bunch
- fresh mint1/2 bunch
- tomatoes3
- red onion1 small
- lemon2
- extra virgin olive oil4 tablespoons
- salt1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper1/4 teaspoon
- sumac (optional)1/2 teaspoon

Rinse the bulgur and soak it in cold water for 20 minutes, then drain well.

Wash, dry and finely chop the parsley (leaves only) and mint.

Cut the tomatoes into small dice, peel and finely chop the red onion.

In a bowl, mix the bulgur, herbs, tomatoes and onion.

Squeeze the lemons, add the juice with olive oil, salt, pepper and optionally sumac. Mix well.

Let it rest for 10 minutes to let the flavors develop, then serve chilled with lettuce leaves or pita bread.
