Yogurt Mint and Cucumber Sauce (Turkish Cacık)
Let me tell you about cacık, that light and refreshing Turkish sauce that evokes the gentle summer evenings on the Aegean coast. With its creamy yogurt perfumed with fresh mint and crunchy cucumber, it's the perfect accompaniment to grilled meats or mezes. You only need a few simple ingredients, but the result is an explosion of freshness in your mouth. In Turkey, it's often made with a bit of garlic to boost the flavor, and it's enjoyed either thick as a sauce or thinner as a cold summer soup. Make it ahead and you'll see – it'll quickly become a staple on your table!
