- onions2 medium
- garlic3 cloves
- fresh cilantro1 bunch
- fresh parsley1 bunch
- preserved lemon1
- pitted green olives100 g
- olive oil3 tbsp
- turmeric1 tsp
- ground ginger1 tsp
- sweet paprika1 tsp
- saltto taste
- black pepperto taste
- water20 cl

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and crushed garlic, sauté for 2 minutes.

Add the chicken pieces, turmeric, ginger, paprika, salt, and pepper. Brown the chicken on all sides.

Pour in the water, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.

Add the preserved lemon cut into quarters and the green olives. Continue cooking covered for 15 minutes.

Stir in the chopped cilantro and parsley. Cook uncovered for another 5 minutes to reduce the sauce.
