Italian Panini with Turkey Ham, Mozzarella and Pesto

Who doesn't love a crispy, cheesy panini? This one is a true trip to Italy, right from your kitchen. The ciabatta bread, lightly toasted on the griddle, holds a generous heart of melting mozzarella di bufala, flavorful turkey ham, and sun-dried tomatoes that add a sweet touch. The basil pesto, homemade or of good quality, is the key to this sandwich: it perfumes every bite with its Mediterranean aroma. You'll love the simplicity of this recipe, perfect for a quick lunch or a dinner with friends. It's Italian street food at its best, unpretentious but full of sunny flavor.
