Mast-o-Khiar (Persian Yogurt and Cucumber Dip)

Ingredients
- Greek yogurt500 g
- cucumber1 large (about 300 g)
- fresh mint1 bunch
- garlic1 clove
- salt1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper1/4 teaspoon
- olive oil2 tablespoons
- walnuts30 g (optional)
- dried rose petals1 teaspoon (for garnish)

Wash and grate the cucumber without peeling. Lightly salt and let it sit for 10 minutes, then squeeze well to remove excess water.

Finely chop the fresh mint (reserve a few leaves for garnish). Crush the garlic clove.

In a bowl, combine the yogurt, grated cucumber, mint, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir well until smooth.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Optionally, add crushed walnuts for extra crunch.
