Turkish Kısır — Bulgur Salad with Herbs and Pomegranate
Kısır is much more than a simple bulgur salad: it's a symbol of Turkish hospitality, often prepared for large gatherings, picnics and celebrations. Its reddish-orange colour comes from tomato and pepper pastes, which coat each grain of bulgur with a sweet, sunny flavour. You'll love the contrast between the freshness of the herbs, the crunch of cucumber and the sweet-tart burst of pomegranate seeds. Sprinkled with mint and parsley, this vegetarian dish is enjoyed fresh, accompanied by crisp lettuce or flatbread. A direct journey to the lively markets of Istanbul or Antalya, where stalls overflow with colours and aromas. Easy and quick, kısır will soon become your go-to for light, flavour-packed meals.
