Kafta Bil Karaz — Beef Meatballs with Sour Cherries, Lebanese Festive Dish

This kafta bil karaz dish is a true celebration of Lebanese flavors: fragrant, tender beef meatballs coated in a slightly sweet and tangy sour cherry sauce. Wondering what typical Lebanese dishes are? Here's an example less known than hummus or tabbouleh, but just as emblematic of festive meals. Lebanese cuisine boasts a variety of mezze, but it also excels in slow-cooked dishes like this one, where sweet and savory notes and warm spices marry beautifully. And if you're looking for a halal Lebanese restaurant near you, note that this dish is typically prepared without pork or alcohol, following tradition. Enjoy your culinary journey!
