Brania (Tunisian Rice with Beef and Chickpeas)
Brania, this fragrant Tunisian rice with beef and chickpeas, is a comforting dish that smells of Mediterranean spices. If you're wondering what the most popular traditional Tunisian dishes are, know that brania, cousin to couscous but quicker, is a family meal staple. For an authentic recipe, the key lies in harissa and slow-cooking the meat. You'll love this blend of mild yet spicy flavors, typical of Tunisian cuisine, which differs from Moroccan by its generous use of chili and caraway. A true flavor journey to share without restraint!
