  • ground lamb or beef500g
  • onions2 medium, grated
  • fresh cilantro1 bunch, chopped
  • fresh parsley1 bunch, chopped
  • garlic3 cloves, crushed
  • salt1 tsp
  • black pepper1/2 tsp
  • ground cumin1 tsp
  • paprika1 tsp
  • ground cinnamon1/2 tsp
  • olive oil3 tbsp
  • canned peeled tomatoes400g
  • tomato paste1 tbsp
  • water150 ml
  • eggs4

Instructions

    1. Mix ground meat with half the onion, cilantro, parsley, garlic, spices, salt. Form meatballs.

    2. Sauté remaining onion in oil, add garlic.

    3. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, water, spices. Simmer covered 15 min.

    4. Add meatballs, cook covered 20 min.

    5. Crack eggs on top, cook covered 5-7 min.
