- Cooked chickpeas400 g
- Onions2 medium
- Garlic3 cloves
- Cinnamon stick1
- Ground ginger1 teaspoon
- Turmeric1 teaspoon
- Sweet paprika1 teaspoon
- Ground cumin1 teaspoon
- Honey2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice2 tablespoons
- Vegetable broth500 ml
- Olive oil3 tablespoons
- Fresh cilantro1 bunch
- Salt and black pepperto taste

Peel the carrots and cut them into thick slices. Chop the onions and garlic.

In a tagine or large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the onions until translucent, then add the garlic and spices (cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, paprika, cumin). Let it fragrance for 1 minute.

Add the carrots, chickpeas, broth, honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, until the carrots are tender.
