
Turkish Cucumber and Mint Yogurt Salad (Cacık)

Ingredients
- cucumber2 units (about 400 g)
- Greek (or Turkish) yogurt500 g
- garlic2 cloves (crushed)
- fresh mint1 bunch (finely chopped)
- olive oil3 tablespoons
- white wine vinegar or lemon juice1 tablespoon
- salt1 teaspoon (or to taste)

Wash and peel the cucumbers, then cut them into small dice. Place them in a colander, sprinkle lightly with salt, and let them drain for 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix the yogurt with the crushed garlic, chopped mint, olive oil, and vinegar or lemon. Season with salt and pepper.

Squeeze the cucumber dice to remove excess water, then fold them into the yogurt mixture.
