Halal carbonara pasta

Discover our halal version of carbonara pasta, an Italian classic reinvented without alcohol or pork. This easy and quick recipe uses halal bacon or smoked chicken, fresh eggs, and parmesan for a creamy and flavorful sauce. Perfect for a family dinner or with friends, it will delight all palates.

Instructions

    Cook the pasta al dente in a large pot of boiling salted water, according to the package instructions. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.

    Meanwhile, in a pan, sauté the halal bacon with minced garlic over medium heat until golden and crispy. Remove from heat.

    In a bowl, beat the eggs with the heavy cream, grated parmesan, salt, and pepper until you get a homogeneous sauce.

    Add the hot pasta to the pan with the bacon, then pour the egg sauce over it. Mix quickly off the heat so that the sauce coats the pasta without cooking the eggs (the residual heat is enough).

    If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water to thin it out. Serve immediately, sprinkled with fresh chopped parsley.
