
Baked Minced Meat Köfte

Ingredients
- minced meat (lamb or beef)500 g
- onion1 (medium)
- sweet paprika1 tsp
- cumin½ tsp
- stale bread (crumbs)2 slices
- egg1
- fresh parsleyhandful
- salt½ tsp
- black pepper¼ tsp
- olive oil2 tbsp
- tomatoes3 (medium)
- green pepper2

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Soak the bread crumbs in a little water, then squeeze dry.

In a bowl, mix the minced meat, grated onion, egg, squeezed bread, chopped parsley, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.

Shape into elongated oblong patties (köfte) with lightly oiled hands.

Place the köfte in a baking dish. Add sliced tomatoes and whole green peppers.

Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 30 minutes, until the köfte are golden brown and the vegetables are tender.
