Ingredients

  • Lebanese pita bread4 loaves
  • Ground beef500 g
  • Onion1 large, finely chopped
  • Green bell pepper1, finely chopped
  • Garlic3 cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley1/4 cup, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro1/4 cup, chopped
  • Ground cumin1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander1 teaspoon
  • Paprika1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil2 tablespoons

Instructions

    In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, onion, bell pepper, garlic, parsley, cilantro, and all the spices (cumin, ground coriander, paprika, cayenne, salt, pepper).

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

    Carefully open each pita bread in half to form a pocket. Divide the meat mixture evenly among the breads.

    Lightly brush the outside of the breads with a little vegetable oil. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

    Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bread is crispy and the meat is fully cooked.
