
Lebanese Arayes with Spiced Beef

Ingredients
- Lebanese pita bread4 loaves
- Ground beef500 g
- Onion1 large, grated
- Tomatoes2, finely chopped
- Fresh parsley1/2 cup, chopped
- Fresh mint1/4 cup, chopped
- Garlic3 cloves, crushed
- Spices: cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon1 teaspoon each
- Salt and pepperto taste
- Olive oil2 tablespoons

In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, grated onion, chopped tomatoes, parsley, mint, crushed garlic, all spices, salt, and pepper. Knead well until you get a homogeneous filling.

Cut each pita bread in half, then carefully open each half to form a pocket. Spread the filling inside in a thin, even layer.

Brush the outside of the stuffed breads with a little olive oil.

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the arayes for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, until the bread is crispy and golden and the meat is fully cooked.
